The Vancouver Island Implant Centre is located in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. We are dedicated to provide predictable and complete Implant Services.

We can answer all of your dental implant needs, both in placing the dental implants as well as the teeth on top. We recognize that you want functional teeth and an aesthetic smile. We begin the process by evaluating your needs and desires.

Our difference in treatment delivery is evident from when you first come to the office. We take extra time for post operative appointments and care. Some centers do not see their patient until a week after after surgery. We see you the next day and a few times after. This reduces the incidence of post operative complications and pain.

Why Dental Implants?

Dental implants are the most natural way to restore missing teeth. They distribute the forces back to the bone where they naturally belong. This is in contrast to partial dentures or bridgework that places the force of the missing tooth on the neighboring teeth, leading to a higher risk to their damage and or loss. As well, the bone where the missing tooth is will continue to shrink away with time. This leads to the loss of bony support on the neighboring teeth adding further risk to their future. The placement of dental implants will actually stop this “bone shrinking” process and preserve, not damage the neighbouring teeth.

I love Dr. Wolanski (in a professional way). I originally found Dr. Wolanski and his dental clinics through a referral from a friend and came in as an emergency with the most sensitive tooth that I couldn't even run a toothbrush over without being in severe pain. I thought for sure that I was going to need a root canal or even worse lose a tooth. Dr. Wolanski took one look at it with his awesome magnification glasses and noticed that the dentist from the Lower Mainland that did my filling didn't finish it properly. He finished the tooth off properly in less than 5 min and the pain was gone by the next morning... I live in Nanaimo now and wouldn't trust anyone else but Dr. Wolanski with my teeth. So grateful for such a great dentist. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

From years ago the dreaded dentist visit has changed. The old crown removed, the prep for an implant done , no pain - 35 minutes. Some after discomfort ,used pain meds that day, next day not needed. Thanks to the team.

Our office is located on the Island Highway beside the Inn on Long Lake. You can see us as you drive by on the Island Highway. Driving from the South, you can turn in on the service road directly from the highway Driving from the North, use Rutherford Road and Turn onto Wills Road by Worksafe BC.
